I care so I speak -- ILEI should cease operation

 

I do not understand this organisation.

Even the Esperanto speakers do not know about his organisation but this strange organisation organises conference yearly.

This is an organisation so called International League of Esperanto Instructors.

Got it now ?

Well, how many countries in the world officially teaching Esperanto? One, right, it is no confusion. The country is Hungary. Even countries like China Na Cuba, which supported Esperanto, with official money pumping in to host Esperanto radio, they still do not allow Esperanto as one of the foreign languages for the people to learn officially like Hungary.

To the people out of Esperanto circle, Chinese and Spanish languages are official languages in United Nations, but these two countries, of course, including the whole Latin America, where Spanish is the major language, still teach English. Can you understand why ?

On the other hand, English speaking countries, like USA, Australia, New Zealand and Great Britain do not list foreign languages in the schools. 

Next, the members of ILEI is larger than the TESOL associations in the world ? I do not want to provide the websites of TESOL or TESL associations, you could easily search it.

As I said times and again, that Esperanto circle is full of narcissism people or language lovers. They view Esperanto just as a hobby or item to play for passing the time.

Esperanto has no future hope though the late esperantists who worked hard to push Esperanto into UNESCO and UNWTO but unfortunately is destroyed by the language lovers.

When there are less than 20 Esperanto teachers, mostly in Hungary, the ILEI happily organises conferences yearly. In the past, the conference venue was either same as the universal congress of Esperanto, UKo or somewhere near by the country, neighbouring country. For example, 2012, the UKo was held in Vietnam and the ILEI congress was in Yun Nan, China, which is next to Vietnam.

Of course, the participants were rich. They could take the flight from Yun Nan to Hanoi in Vietnam, though it is the neighbouring country, still thousand of kilometers away. These participants were on touring, in fact.

The TESOL conference which attracted hundreds of participants from the world, or locals, which country on earth does not teach English? Perhaps, the newly formed Afghanistan controlled by Taliban may not like to teach English.

Therefore, do you think ILEI should waste the time and money organising the congress ?Looking at the information from Wikipedia, their themes were very strange, which they did not focus on how to upgrade the teaching skills but rather on a little political senses.
