Funny thinking
Whether Esperanto is Euro or Asia, it does not matter.
What is important to us in Asia, English or Esperanto is still a foreign language. English is the imperialism language but Esperanto is not.
Besides, Esperanto needs only 200 hours of learning, saving tons of money for the government to implement second language learning. Read the the report.
But many silly governments are not willing to do so because the old thinking caps are still on their head. Have you read Dr Nicholas Ostler work ? The last lingua franca...
Usually these questions are based on hypothetical situations and thus have no one real answer, such as:
- Do native Esperanto speakers undermine Esperanto's goal as a global SECOND language where all speakers are equally proficient?
- Would a nation adopting Esperanto as an official language hurt Esperanto's goal as a neutral, nationless language?
- Is Esperanto too Euro-centric to be an effective global language?
- Why should Esperanto be chosen as the global language?
