You did good, sir
What I said you did good is because Indonesia has stopped teaching English language in the primary schools.
English is not an easy learning language and many poor Indonesians are not using it at all, the cost of teaching of English can be used to further use for health care and education in the country.
Life is hard in Indonesia and many Indonesians are seen in Malaysia for seeking better fortunes. Putting aside the political issue, I wish the politicians in Indonesia would further considering Esperanto.
Many Singaporean forums were laughing at the Indonesia when the announcement was made about stopping teaching English in Indonesia. These young Singaporeans are not knowing that they are tearing for themselves. Most of the Singaporeans have forgone their culture and languages, even want to make Malay language as a elective subject. Dear Singaporeans, the national language of Singapore is Malay. Hope you know that despite you sing the national anthem with the world Singapura.
Your ex PM said, China and USA will be there even after a century but not so sure of Singapore. Yes, she might be the colony of Britain or USA, perhaps, China, not too possible as China has too many hot issues to be solved in their home.
I can understand the embarrassment for your sir, even you are not holding the post now. But I wish you could help to free your people from learning English, but also help to free the ASEAN countries from the colonial language instead replace it with a neutral language, Esperanto. It would save you tons of money.
Politicians are vital in helping the people to see the future and at the same time, it can also help the neighbouring countries too.
Indonesia will be, and should be able to lead the people in ASEAN to realise the cheap language learning source from UNESCO.
Read this article, my Indonesian friends, you will know how you can help the people of Indonesia for not leaving home to search for job and might end up in tragedy in some cases if you can push Esperanto to be the common language for ASEAN.
Most probably the readers of this post from Indonesia are from the middle class, but please do your country a good thing, English won't help even you are rich when there is no equality.
