I care so I speak : Esperanto is a second language
Esperantists like the two words--Intentional Language.
Without tiring, they repeated it in many places. But do they ask, is there information in Esperanto in these areas-- agricultural , geology, archaeology, history, geography, geopolitics etc, you name it as nothing can be found only the literature texts. They think that all people like only one colour and eating only one food like the language lovers in the Esperantujo.
I of course, strongly objected to make Esperanto as the mother tongue. But, language lovers and narcissism people can't think well. I do not understand why Esperanto could make them lost their mind. They need psychology check up.
I know of native speakers, who decided not to raise their children with Esperanto, because it goes against the idea of the language itself that is should be learnt for everyone as a second language. That is also a choice.
