Your scientific babel could be easily reached with the aid of Esperanto

Just imagine, learning Esperanto needs less than 200 hours but learning English needs more than 3200 hours. If the pupils have to spend such a great  amount of time in learning English to be able to a scientist from the non English speaking countries, the science sector would not be able to get many good scientists.
