EMA kaj EKA

It is very confusing. I did not know what the esperantists are looking for in making Esperanto the international language.

Perhaps, I met the wrong group as my friends said. There are many esperantists working days and nights to make Esperanto the international language and to protect the mother tongue education in the world.

Yes, we cannot do without the help from other parts of the world. But what I think the most vital is to involve the youngsters and the youth of course to participate in this great project. But what can attract them to take a look of Esperanto ? It must be some projects for the youth. Yes, you may argue that there is the TEJO to look for it. Ya, TEJO is very much at a higher level where local people are unable to take part in it. Look, the events are mostly international and imagine the developing and under-developing countries, they are unable to book a ticket for the event in the far away place.

Many European esperantists always think life is almost the same for them in their land. They can travel easily just as what I think in my land ASEAN region, we can travel easily as the countries are close to one another. But, it is not even 10% of the people in each country can travel even with the low cost airlines Air Asia now serving almost all the major destinations in ASIA. Of course, leave Singapore and Brunei out, as these two countries are rich. Even in Malaysia, it is just the handful people can make it, many of the people are still living from hands to mouths.

Well, the esperantists in ASEAN have to do something about it.

Yes, sports.

The sports activities are the best part to link and communicate for the youths. They are full of energy. They can adapt and change themselves more easily than the old people.

Thus, what about the EMA and EKA.

I have talked about the EKA in the earlier post and now like to delve in EMA.

Esperanto-Marcho ASOAN (EMA). It does not have to be a big event, just for the friendship matches and competition. The events can be track and field, of course, badminton and table tennis are the popular sports in ASEAN. This Esperanto ASEAN Sports Meet can be held in once two years. Less funding is needed and it can be a tourism event too.

EKA is Esperanto-Kongreso ASOAN.

The EMA may uncover some sports talents for the country too.

Till the day, we can do the Esperanto sports in wide region, for example, ASIA, of which, the Esperanto Asia committee has to work harder for it.

p/s; I got the idea from a homosexual ASEAN sports meet. They have been into the coming ten years. Since homosexual is a an illegal issue in ASEAN, therefore I do not like to reveal the name of the sports meet. You can find it from the gay sites. They are even expanding to Taiwan of which now is going to ASIA.
