True Esperantists or Imperalist esperantists?

Some time ago, i read about a post of famous author in the UK expressing that it is time to learn Esperanto to avoid the children from the West to learn Chinese language. I related it to a veteran Esperantist in China. He laughed it off by saying there were many people would have the fear elements and trying to avoid Chinese language though I was still unhappy.

During his last talk, Glossop said, “Now some would say that English is the world language even though only 5 percent of the world speaks English as their first language. Two and a half times as many speak Mandarin Chinese as their first language. Are you and your children ready to learn Chinese?”

I hope Glossop would be like the Chinese Esperantist to think of Esperanto for better of communication for the world but not the imperalist thinking.

Till, now, I do not see the sign that China is flexing her muscles to use the langauge like the English, Spanish, Portugal to dominate the world.

If the esperantists who encourage others to learn Esperanto is by avoiding the Chinese language learning or the expansion of China, these Esperantists are not fit to be in the Esperanto community as their concepet for world peace is totally wrong.
