In respond to : The Universal Language- Why Did It Fail
The YouTube has many short films about
Esperanto, of course, pros and cons of them.
Each and everyone has the right to
voice their opinions. It depends on how much one can really convince
the people to support your view or opinion. No doubts, there are
people who dislike Esperanto or perhaps, they want Esperanto to
vanish from the earth.
However, this is the Internet era, more
and more languages are rebirth via the modern technology but I shall
not dwell on it how these languages will survive through the
competitive age.
I would like to inform the audience of
this talk about the Esperanto and related issues.
There are points which I am totally
agreed with like the practicality of the language in these days. That
is the reason I have launched a campaign to boycott the Universal
Congress of Esperanto. This is the first English article that I
talked about the boycott.
Esperanto was in the past which had
been used in almost all fields, that meant, its practical purpose was
in full swing, thus, UNESCO recommended it in 1954. but later, it was
reduced due to the world war and the strong economy as well as
colonisation power that drove Esperanto to a corner.
That is the reason I am calling to
boycott the universal congress of Esperanto and return to the
practical use of Esperanto in science, commerce and politics. The younger generation has not much clues what a language should be used for and nowadays, the Esperanto circle is dominated by the language lovers more instead of all professions. That is the reason which makes Esperanto become impractical in the daily used.
On the other hand, I would like to
inform the audience as I do not like to comment on the YouTube page
about few items that they have to aware of when one touches on the
issues of native speakers of Esperanto, natural language etc..
Esperanto does not require native
speakers
Esperanto is a second language of human
race, it does not require to have native speakers. A person speaks
his/her native language and speak a neutral second language does not
down grade his/her status in life. Why Esperanto is neutral because
it is not a language of certain tribal, if Esperanto has native
speakers, of course, it does, it would become a tribal language and
its neutrality is gone.
Artificial or planned language
All languages in the world are made.
There is no such language as natural. If one agrees to the evolution
theory, human being was evolved from other animal, that is suffice to
say that all languages are made. Where did the A B C symbols come
from ? Millions of years ago, did human being had the writing
ability?
The Chinese language, words, were
evolved from pictures and later simplified it to the strokes in
writing. Of course, certain words are created thereafter as there
were no so many pictures to represent especially the chemical words
which are impossible to see, especially, the gases.
In short, if anyone still harp on the
natural and man-made language, I hope they can be more knowledge wise
from now on.
On the whole, I am glad that, at least
someone has opened up the discussion even though his intention may be
unknown of , however, I am pleased to discuss with him in a different
media here.
At the same time, I wish the Esperanto
speakers, especially the organisations in the world could seriously
look into the criticism and improve the weakness.
