This line caught my eyes:
This spans across the Asia till Latin America. Thus, I am pondering about these countries why not adopt Esperanto as their common language but instead of fighting for whose native tongue to use. Many countries in Latin America are still using their past colonial master's language.
I did talk to a Latin American about this and he said, they have so many blood in their bodies and they don't know which to choose to represent the country. Well, isn't in this case, Esperanto fit nicely in it?
Certainly not the politicians, as my friends said, these politicians would think of themselves rather than the country.
It would have to wait for those who learn Esperanto when they are young to come to the political scene as the 2-2.net said, the politicians do not like to learn a new language as they are lazy. :)
Esperanto is a low cost language investment or economy of language. It is especially suitable for the underdeveloped countries like African continent. Later, the citizens can learn others if they feel the needs.
Having to sustain long years of learning a language is also a hampering to the psychology and pressures for some. Just imagine the 2000 hours of learning English comparing to 200 hours of learning Esperanto. Cost of acquiring the foreign language is easily been seen on here.
But many still want to show their power as I wrote about South Africa for the 11 official languages. Yet, it would not stop here when the next native language is getting powerful via the political means, the 11 will change to 12 and goes on

Yes, it is true the money talks a lot. That is the reason I called the VSM. Do the Esperanto speakers ask and talk in Esperanto when they go travelling ? Or they would enjoy the status of his/her mother tongue position as in the line above ?
If most Esperanto speakers would present themselves when they go travelling, certainly Esperanto will be better known than now.
