UNESCO should list Esperanto as the International Day to eradicate the world illiteracy
UNESCO recommended Esperanto in its resolution in 1954.
Prior to that, Esperanto was suggested in the League of Nations but was barred by French delegate who had the veto right.
Later in 1985, UNESCO again calling the NGOs to use Esperanto in its resolution.
However, both the resolutions are not respected by the respective parties. Even those NGOs who professed in their resolution to use Esperanto are not acting at all, for example the World Federation of United Nations (WFUNA).

UNESCO can list its international days, weeks and year. Who have the right to put forward the suggestion to the committee ?

To save the Romani language, UNESCO listed the Romani Language Day though is a small community.

On the other hand, UNESCO also followed the UN to list Arabic language day.
But no one from the UNESCO or UEA, TEJO or even the community of Esperanto send petition to UNESCO to list Esperanto in UNESCO as one of the International Day.
Esperanto is the best tool to eradicate the world illiteracy. Within 3 months of learning, or even 12 days of learning, the 750 million illiterates will disappear within 6 months.
If you agree to help to eradicate the illiteracy in the world, share or Twit this messages to the world leaders.Perhaps, you can also do a petition to UNESCO to list the language they recommended half a century ago to be listed in the international day event.
Let us support the UNESCO to eradicate the world illiteracy by calling UNESCO to list Esperanto as one of the International Day.
If you are twitting, hope that the administration staff can forward the message to the relevant department for considerations.
