ASEAN Community should use Esperanto as the official language

How Esperanto can help ASEAN countries to save more money on language learning.

UNESCO and UNWTO recommended Esperanto as the international language since 1954.

But alas, many countries still do not want to look into the recommendations.

I only talk about the ASEAN region, let the other parts of the world think for themselves.

Well, in ASEAN region, only Singapore uses English as the first language, but her national song still in Malay. It is for survival that Singapore, a formal colony of British. But other countries are not using English as the first language.

In South East Asia region, there are still many poor countries, example Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. Only Singapore is listed as advanced country.

As such, other countries have to pour out lots of money on teaching English. Learning English is not easy, only a handful learners can achieve the perfect standard.

Learning English needs 3200 hours but learning Esperanto needs less than 200 hours.

Can you imagine the cost of the language economy ?

Besides, Esperanto is the best business business language. It was done 9 decades in France.

Of course, Esperanto is the language spring board and it can help to learn language better. Watch Tim Morley TED talk.

Of course, I want to raise your awarness about Patricia RYAN TED talk, Do not insist on English.
